The First Game Pass Games of 2026 Reveal Xbox Is Still Fighting.
In numerous discussions, fans keep sounding the death bells for Microsoft's gaming division. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a relatively obscure console. Xbox fan sites have started writing regarding Sony's platform unprecedentedly. The past year represented a period of total upheaval for Xbox and Microsoft. But if we're going solely off what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it's evident that Xbox remains determined to attract subscribers with quality releases on its key platform.
The Available Now Titles
A pair of titles that are immediately available today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's worth getting excited about.
Major Titles on the Horizon
On Jan. 13, Game Pass will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that refreshes typical Ubisoft design with an intergalactic heist adventure. A further major acquisition is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, previously described as "the perfect cocktail of frights and fights."
Compelling Indie Titles
However, the more modest titles set to join the catalog are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler that is incredibly fun, becomes available next week — and it's worth experiencing regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.
The game set in a ruined Britain from last year might get its hooks in you remarkably quickly.
Atomfall, the stealth survival game by Rebellion Developments, is also a game to check out. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.
A Solid, Curated Lineup
Ultimately, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, nor are they tentpole Microsoft studios games that justify the service in the first place. However, this batch of games are rock solid. The lineup provides a solid mix of old games you might have missed and fairly new titles that lacked the recognition they deserved the first time around — which makes them perfect candidates to find a new audience on Game Pass.
Be prepared to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
