Paramount Skydance Will Remove Nearly 2,000 American Positions – News
Skydance Paramount will begin large-scale job cuts during the week starting 27 October, eliminating about 2,000 positions in the United States within a expense reduction strategy worth $2bn overseen by new chief executive David Ellison.
These job cuts come after the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed during August with a value of $8.4bn.
Additional international job cuts are anticipated, as the firm aiming to reveal all specifics in its third-quarter financial update set for the 10th of November.
Earlier reports suggested the firm aimed to cut between 2,000 and 3,000 jobs before the start of November.
As of December 2024, the company had almost 18,600 full- and part-time employees plus 3,500 temporary project employees.
Paramount Skydance has not yet commented to a request for comment.
