Chopper Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Fronds at Well-Known California Shoreline
An aircraft flying near a popular southern California coastline abruptly started spinning wildly, finally dropping height and plunging into a row of palm groves as beachgoers observed.
Recordings posted online show the chopper beginning to twirl near the beach then descending towards the perimeter of the beach, where it ends up lodged amidst palms and a staircase near the coastal road.
Emergency Response Information
Local firefighters stated five individuals were taken to hospital including a pair who were in the aircraft and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the incident on the weekend.
Three people on the pavement were harmed. Specifics on their wounds were still under review.
The reason for the accident was not immediately released.
